Lingmai Genealogy Goes Live - A Family Tree That Keeps Growing

On 11 September 2026 at 09:19 (CST), the Lingmai Genealogy WeChat mini program went live.
Why we built it
Paper genealogies fear fire, damp, moving house - and time. But the more common loss is not on paper: generational names fall out of use, relatives lose touch, and younger family members remember only that “we seem to have such a relative”.
What we wanted was plain: give a family’s memory a carrier that keeps growing, rather than a book that closes and is never opened again.
What it does
It moves the essentials of a genealogy onto a phone:
- Lineage chart: pagoda and European layouts, one generation per tier, switchable at any time.
- Member register: grouped by volume and generation, with birth and death years, spouses and seniority.
- Zibei and tanghao: generational names travel with each generation; junwang (Yingchuan) and tanghao (Dexing) sit on the family page.
- Everyday tools: relationship calculator, family statistics, birthday and memorial reminders.

Scan and use. No sign-in is needed to browse the built-in sample family - the Chen clan, 31 people across 5 generations, Yingchuan jun and Dexing tang. Look around first, then decide whether to build your own.
Where it belongs
Lingmai Genealogy is the first shipped product of lncyx’s family genealogy (culture) practice. We turned the sentence “let bloodline and memory be carried on” into something you can open by scanning a code.
